The one and a half acre smallholding around the house is typically Gallego;
terraced and covered with grape vines and fruit trees.
For us it was a
real bonus to be eating oranges and making wine within months of
arriving.
Since then we've planted more trees and soft fruit and farm the land
organically.

The valley climate, especially the long hot summers, allows us to grow
a wide range of fruit and vegetables. As well as the fruit you can't grow
back in Britain, we really appreciate the summer annuals, tomatoes, peppers,
courgettes, aubergines, arriving early and lasting well into the Autumn.
Fruit and vegetables are available to guests along with fresh herbs picked on the doorstep.
We also sell other farm produce such as wine, honey and fruit preserves. |
